So these may not sound like much and (personally I feel) going oil free in baking is risky.. but I promise this recipe pays off! While I still tend to use oil in cooking, I always find it fun to try new things, plus this whole ‘oil-free’ lifestyle is really taking off so I figured I should jump on the bandwagon with this recipe.
There are actually a lot of really good, safe and healthy cooking oils. You can read all about them in my Healthy Tip Tuesday post from a few weeks ago; but if you are looking to cut out or cut down on oils and fats than here’s a recipe for you! Mind you, this recipe is for all the oil lovers too as it’s still insanely delicious.
Ingredients:
3-4 White Flesh Potatoes
Pinch of Sea Salt, Garlic, Chili Flakes & Herbs
Method:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (this step is very important as the potaotes will stick to the baking sheet with out it; and no, tin foil doesn’t work). Preheat the oven to 400 degree and wash and cut your potatoes into wedges. Line them on the baking sheet, sprinkle on your seasonings and place in oven for 25-30 minutes. About half way through feel free to flip all the wedges over to cook on both sides, but this is not a necessary step. Once they are slightly golden-brown remove from oven allow to cool and then serve with your favourite dip! I dipped my oil-free fries into my avocado cream sauce. So good!
