I mentioned in my previous post that I’m taking an extended vacation to Iceland and Germany which I’m very very excited about! Since I already covered all the natural beauty products I’ll be bringing with me, I thought I’d share some of my favourite snacks and foods that I’ll be bringing with me to power me through the trip! Of course, there will be more than enough room in my bag and belly to explore what both of these countries have to offer and of course I’m limited as to what I can bring (to preserve freshness), but there’s just something comforting about having your every day snacks with you especially when you can’t get them anywhere while your away.
Here’s my list of must pack treats (in no particular order):
Chimes Ginger Chews
Since cutting out candy and refined sugars from my ‘diet’ I am now obsessed with these delicious natural ginger chews! They are so so delicious and come in a variety of flavours.
Larabars
Gimme that natural energy! two of my favourite foods are in this brand of natural energy bars – Dates & Nuts! I’ve got a mixture of flavours too so I don’t get too bored.
Go Macro Bars
These have to be one of my fave snack bars! Usually filled with 6-10g of protein and super delicious flavours, I’m excited to bring these with me.
Simply Protein Chips
My absolute fave chip to eat. Ever. These are so crunchy and flavourful! The best part is there’s never more than 2g of sugar in each bag annnnd they’re loaded with 10g of plant-based protein! These are a must for my trip.
Cliff Bars
These are great energy and protein bars that should keep us going! There are a variety of flavours to choose from (some vegan, some not) since my husband isn’t too picky we chose an assortment of bars to mix it up!
I’ll also be packing some homemade goodies with me including my:
Sweet Pecan Almond Bliss Balls
Chewy Cranberry Coconut Granola Bars
I’ll also be bringing a large container of quinoa salad, although you aren’t allowed to put dressing or hummus as it’s considered a liquid and won’t get past airport security.
There you have it, a look into my snack bag before I pack it away in my suitcase. The best part about all of these snacks is they’re airport approved so you can technically bring them all on your carry on!
What snacks do you pack for travelling? Do you make your own?
xx HBL
